Some people have read my day 11 post and concluded that I’m quitting and packing it in. That is NOT the case; I expect to continue blathering on this blog for more than 7 weeks to come.

I do however plan to use the Galahad hyperspace button (if you know, you know), where Christin will likely pick me up in St Could and drive me to the Twin Cities to stay “on track”. I desperately want to be in Alma Wisconsin for my daughter Sarah’s birthday, and I can’t get there in time with us spending 12 plus grueling hours on the river each day.

So, I’ll see some of the river from the Great River Road instead of the water; maybe I’ll come back to trial those waters again someday, but this is how I’m choosing this adventure for now.

Also, while I’m offering clarification, apparently Chad doesn’t have an unusually large head. I tried on his hat and it fits me nearly perfectly; his head may be 1/8” bigger than mine. So, Chad just has the illusion of a big head rather than an actual big head. David’s head remains chimpanzee sized.
